He is recognized as one of Chile's leading litigators and legal strategists. He has represented clients before national courts and international tribunals, including the World Bank's International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) and the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).
His career combines highly complex criminal and civil litigation, advising on non-judicial dispute resolution, and conducting internal corporate investigations on behalf of boards of directors or shareholders of publicly traded companies.
He has actively participated in significant legislative processes, such as the Criminal Procedure Reform and Law 20.393 on the Criminal Liability of Legal Entities. He also served twice on the Presidential Commission for drafting a new Criminal Code.
He has repeatedly received top honors from leading international rankings and was appointed by the United Nations Secretary-General to the committee tasked with reviewing the UN's internal justice system.
He is a lawyer from the Catholic University of Valparaíso and holds a doctorate in law from the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg. He is a founding member of Public Liberties A.G.
